A new pub is opening in Chesterfield town centre after a £300,000 investment.
The Burlington, formerly Yates, will launch on Friday night with a celebratory party.
The opening of the Burlington Street pub will create three new jobs in addition to retaining existing staff.
A spokesman for the Burlington, which sits next to the town’s famous Crooked Spire, said: “It will open as a traditional town centre pub offering its customers a warm welcome, great value food, cask and craft ales, fantastic sports viewing facilities and music-led entertainment at weekends.”
Meanwhile, a New York-inspired venue called Apartment will launch in Chesterfield on Saturday.
A spokesman for Apartment said: “This brand-new, forward-thinking venue will pride itself on offering quality cocktails, spirits and beers which will sit hand-in-hand with a humble yet big-city vibe.
“There will be a strong focus on giving a fantastic, unique experience to both the people in the town and the ones coming in from out of it.”
Chesterfield is also getting a German-themed bar in July.
Einstein’s will open at the site of the former Bar Centro in Holwell Street.
The bar promises to sell an “extensive range” of world beers, Derbyshire ales and cocktails as well as food.
Work is currently underway to transform the premises.
