New pub set to open in Sheffield city centre in 2017

A popular north west pub chain has unveiled plans to open a new bar in Sheffield city centre next year.

Kuckoo, which already has venues in Chester and Preston, has announced it will open a new bar in Leopold Square in the next few months.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesman for the pub said: "We're really happy to announce after so much hard work Kuckoo will be expanding to Sheffield, Leopold Square in early March AND Knutsford, Princess Street in mid April.

"Its a massive 6 months for us but we're absolutely over the moon."

The bar which offers "glamorous indie rock and roll and outrageous cocktails" will become the latest addition to the square which already houses a wide range of bars and restaurants.
