A NEW park in the centre of Rotherham is set to open in the shadow of the town’s Minster next week.
The Minster Gardens, on the site of the former All Saints’ Building, will be opened officially on Friday, July 29, at RotherFest - a day of celebration and events.
The event begins at 10am with a special dedication service to recognise the improvements to the Minster Churchyard.
RotherFest features live music, falconry, face painting, a mini petting farm and circus skills workshops.
Canon David Bliss said: “The whole area is beautiful and the new view of the Minster across the Minster Gardens is stunning.”
