ROTHERHAM Hospital’s Rooftop restaurant is to close during evenings and weekends because of a decline in demand.
The diner, run by caterers ISS for the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, will have its hours cut from September 1 and will close at weekends and from 2pm from Monday to Friday.
A trust spokeswoman said: “Analysis has shown very limited use of the restaurant at certain times.
“In these challenging economic times, neither the trust nor ISS can sustain a service that is under-utilised. Staff, visitors and patients will still be able to access hot food and drink through vending facilities within the dining area.
“Hot and cold drinks and food are also available during opening hours from the range of retail outlets.”
