New jobs created as pub offers barbecue

Have your say

New jobs for 20 people have been created after a pub was refurbished.

The Waggon and Horses on Abbeydale Road South, Millhouses, will reopen next Wednesday, February 19.

It will feature a new barbecue menu - where dishes are cooked on a chargrill or served on sizzling skillets - as part of the Flaming Grill Brand from national pub owner and operator Spirit Pub Company.

It is another change for the pub, which became Italian restaurant Pesto last April.

But bosses say the new transformation will retain elements of the traditional local pub.

New landlord Stefan Hobman said he was ‘confident’ the new menu would ‘wow’ visitors to the pub.

He added: “The investment will refresh the look and offer, but at the heart of the pub it will remain a local still showing sports, and with a dedicated bar area for those that just want to relax with a drink.

“I am so excited to be introducing the Flaming Grill brand to the people of Millhouses.”

The pub is still looking for new recruits to join the team.

Anybody who is interested in a position at The Waggon and Horses should call the pub’s general manager on 07581 783 447.
