New female football players needed at Rotherham United

Rotherham United Ladies are urging female footballers to attend free training sessions with a view to joining the club.

The club, in partnership with Brinsworth Whitehill Girls FC, is recruiting new players to its under 11, 12, 13 and 18 teams.

Players are also wanted for Rotherham United Ladies Development FC and Rotherham United Ladies FC.

The open trials will take place at Clifton Comprehensive School on Saturday, June 11.

The age group sessions are as follows:- 7-11 between 10am and 11.30am, 12-16 and girls over 16 between 11.30am and 1pm.

A spokesperson for the club said: “We are looking for keen and enthusiastic girls to join our expanding teams and would like to invite any girl to join us for some free open training sessions as a trial to gain a place within our team structure.

“Girls of all abilities are welcome to join us with coaches supplied by both Rotherham United Community Sports Trust and Rotherham United Ladies FC.”

Although the sessions are free booking is essential.
