I suggest he reads Part 1 of the Manual of Firemanship like I did in 1966.

2. To save property.
3. To render humanitarian aid.
To suggest that industrial property was more important than lives I can’t believe.
He probably can’t remember all the thousands that worked in the industry but that is no excuse. The steel works were the biggest life risk after the Hospitals.
I Have never attended an industrial emergency without the Officer in charge asking if all persons were accounted for.
