Doncaster’s new £22 million performance venue has teamed up with a major London venue for a major new project.

Cast, which opens to the public on September 6, has linked up with The Roundhouse for The Puffball Project, a unique workshop residency for 16-25 year olds.

The workshop is aimed at people who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning and will see those taking part working with award-winning performance artist Mark Storor (Fat Girl Gets A Harircut and Other Stories) and a professional circus artist.

The four day residency will use theatre and circus to explore themes of love, acceptance, joy and loss.

The theatre is now recruiting participants with an open mind and a willingness to get involved to join in.

Organisers are particularly keen for those not currently in education, employment or training to take part. No previous performance experience is necessary.

The free sessions will take place from August 6-10 from 11am to 4pm.

A taster will be held on July 22 at 6pm at Cast. For more information email
