New care home to be built at Chesterfield pub site

The Walton in St Augustines Road was demolished last summer.

Chesterfield-based Hill Care Ltd has now been given planning permission to build the home at the location.

A company spokesman said: "Such facilities are required within the area. It also creates the opportunity to provide employment for local people."

Building work must take place within the next three years.
