A new community bobby is pounding the pavements in Brimington.

PC Sean Sanderson has taken over from PC Fran Townsend as the local policing officer for the area.

The new police officer, who has been employed by Derbyshire Police for eight years, previously worked as a response officer in Chesterfield, Bolsover and Killamarsh.

PC Sanderson said: “Safer Neighbourhoods is a different style of policing but I am looking forward to the challenge.

“Anti-social behaviour is one of the key concerns for people in the area and it is one of our priorities to tackle.”

Residents can meet their new officer at the team’s next police surgery which will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at Brimington Church Hall from 10.30am.
