New blood wanted for YMCA board of governors

Have your say

The board of governors of Doncaster YMCA is looking for new members.

Governors want to hear from people aged over 18 who could offer 30 hours a year to support their work with young people, and who can bring different views, a new perspective and their own unique contribution.

Chief executive Louise Roffey said: “At present, we are particularly interested to hear from people with current experience of retail management, strategic planning, financial appraisal, building construction and refurbishment, Christian leadership, and business management.

“There are also opportunities to learn about the YMCA’s day-to-day work, and to offer support as a ‘critical friend’ to the chief executive. We welcome men and women of all faiths and of none.”
