New assistant chief appointed at Rotherham Council
Shokat Lal, currently assistant director of HR and workforce services at Coventry City Council, has been appointed as assistant chief executive of Rotherham Council.
He will be working in support of the council’s newly-appointed chief executive, Sharon Kemp, who is due to join the authority in January. Subject to contract, Mr Lal is expected to start in March.
