New arrest in Rotherham child sexual exploitation investigation

Another arrest has been made as part of investigations into historic cases of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Monday in the Rotherham area.

He was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and rape of a girl under 16.

The man has been questioned by detectives and released on bail pending further inquiries.

It is the latest in a series of arrests made by officers as part of ongoing investigations into historic child sexual exploitation cases in Rotherham.

A 31-year-old man was arrested last week on suspicion of aiding and abetting the rape of a girl under 16.
