Networking for young workers

Have your say

YOUNG professionals in Sheffield are invited to gather for a new kind of networking event.

Hosts from the city’s branch of Junior Chamber International will give guests a taste of the social events, projects and training it runs at an open session on Wednesday January 30. It takes place at The Common Room, Devonshire Street from 6pm.

The Sheffield JCI is led by president Dan Senter and has more than 75 members, making it the largest in the UK outside of London.

Billed as a group for professionals in their 20s and 30s, it aims to empower young people to create positive change in the city.

Members can broaden their network of contacts, get a chance to travel to international events, get involved in community projects and sharpen skills and shape up their CV.

Networking Wednesdays happen on the last Wednesday of the month and the group also holds half-hour bitesize sessions designed to encourage new members.

Admission to the networking session is free. Visit for details.
