NCEL: Handsworth Parramore end losing run with late drama

Handsworth Parramore brought their losing home run to an end in dramatic fashion with a late, late show against Athersley Recreation.

Jas Colliver came from a goal down with two strikes in the dying minutes, halting a run of three consecutive defeats at home in league and cup competition.

However Lee Cooksey pounced on a loose ball to equalise three minutes from time.

And it got even better for Handsworth when Jonathan Williams headed in a Danny Buttle cross on the stroke of full time.

'We showed a lot of character after a poor first half,' said Handsworth boss Colliver.
