NATIONAL NEWS: Watch CCTV footage of robber being foiled by four female Boots workers

Boxing coach Michael Newton is caught on CCTV trying to make away with a till at the store in Hull, East Yorkshire on September 30.

The footage shows the women overpower Newton by wrestling with him and hitting him with the piece of plastic. He is then ordered by the four ladies to sit in a back room until police arrive.

Judge Mark Bury praised the bravery of the four women telling them 'If those four ladies don't get Employee of the Month for September in Boots, it's a poor do.'

Newton was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for 12 months, and ordered him to do 150 hours of unpaid work, and have 30 days' rehabilitation.
