A councillor has temporarily stepped down from Sheffield Council.
The local authority confirmed that one of its 84 councillors has suspended themselves while they deal with ‘personal matters’.
But a council spokesman refused to name the councillor or the ward they represent.
A spokesman for Sheffield Council said: “One of our councillor has suspended themselves from duty while attending to personal matters.”
Sheffield Council is made up of 84 elected councillors. There are three councillors for each of the city’s 28 Wards.
The Labour Party have 59 councillors and the Liberal Democrats 17.
The Green Party and UKIP both have four representatives.
