My operations were cancelled

Have your say

So David Stone, head of Sheffield NHS foundation, has received an award for top trust in the NHS. Heaven help the rest of the trusts!

I was given a date in November for my operation and then sent home - cancelled. A new date arrived 12 weeks later. That was also cancelled the day I was supposed to be admitted. Twelve weeks later, another date was given, for May. This was also cancelled on the day of admission.

On all three occasions, I went for pre-op tests and on one day left home at 6.30am - on a two-bus journey, to be there at 8am.

The people who hand out these awards, should get their facts correct and ask the patients, before they come to a conclusion.
