My nomination for the Carbuncle Cup
I was shocked to see my favourite new building shortlisted for the Carbuncle Cup.
The Diamond Building is just the sort of dynamic, interesting, unusual, forward-looking design that the city centre is crying out for.
To help attract visitors iconic buildings are required.
My nomination for the Carbuncle Cup would be that most ugly building featured on the front page of Wednesday’s Star, the HSBC Bank.
I urge the council planners to reject this monstrosity.
