Museum goes ancient Greek

Have your say

CHESTERFIELD Museum is inviting families to go Greek over the Easter break.

The museum is set to step back in time to ancient Greece with a new interactive exhibition exploring Greek life opening on Saturday, March 31, until May 12.

Visitors can dress up as a Greek soldier, turn the Archimedes screw and follow the Labours of Hercules trail.

Also on display are ancient Greek objects on loan from Nottingham and Leeds Museums.

And on Thursday, April 12, visitors can meet a Greek soldier and find out all about fighting in ancient Greece.

Admittance to the exhibition is free.

The museum is open every day, except Wednesday and Sunday, 10am until 4pm.
