Murder suspect in police custody over stabbing in Sheffield

A man arrested over a fatal stabbing in Sheffield remains in police custody this morning.

The 29-year-old, from Sheffield, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday following the death of 21-year-old Jordan Hill.

Jordan, who was a father, was stabbed in a flat in Southey Avenue, Longley, last Thursday.

Emergency services were alerted to the stabbing at 9.45pm and Jordan was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
