doncaster Racecourse will become a crime scene later this summer when it hosts a Murder Mystery Evening for people to practise their detective skills.

The event takes place from 7.30pm on Friday, September 23, and includes a meal, murder mystery booklet, prizes for those identifying the culprit, and a late disco and bar. Tickets are £26 per person from 01302 304 200.

Growing app

doncaster-based environmental charity BTCV has launched a free mobile app. The Get Growing app features a unique one-touch calculator which allows users to enter the size of their garden, balcony or plot to find out exactly how much food they could grow.

It also tells potential growers how much money they could save on supermarket fruit and veg purchases.
