The mum of two, who didn’t want to be named, said the attack at Burger King at Valley Centertainment in Carbrook, left her ‘terrified’ after her bag was taken which included her engagement ring, house keys and a purse containing all her bank cards.

The employee said she had to change her locks on her door fearing the thieves would target her house.

The incident occurred around 6.15pm on Tuesday, January 12 when two men wearing helmets entered the drive-through lane on a moped.

She said: “I was cleaning tables at the time and I noticed these two lads squashed on a moped scooter near the drive-through speaker.

“I thought to myself ‘you’re not getting served on a moped’ because we don’t unless you’re in a car.

“The next thing I heard a loud crash and another staff member shouted me over.

“My bag was taken but I didn’t realise at first. It was near the manager’s office which is covered by CCTV.

“They must have reached over the counter looking for a till but got my bag instead.

“I was panicking, I was terrified that they were going to rob my house because it had my driving licence and house keys in it, I was so upset at the time.”

The attack left all the staff there shocked and the woman thinks it could have been a lot worse.

She said: “If somebody was cleaning around the drive-through area, the paving slab could have killed someone. It came through with such force.”

The Sheffield mum said that she had to take time off work to deal with the incident and only left her engagement ring in her bag as workers are not allowed to wear jewellery on shift.

“I just want my engagement ring back. It’s special and personal to me,” she added.

“If anyone knows anything, please contact the police, all I want is for these people to be caught.

“Anyone with any information should call 101 citing incident number 805 of Tuesday, January 12.”
