Mums confused by baby advice

Have your say

NEW mums in Sheffield spend £100 or more on unwanted or bizarre items after having a baby, a report claims.

Nearly 60 per cent of mothers also admitted to buying products - like a breast feeding bra - they have never or rarely used, and 20 per cent said it was because they were described as ‘must-haves’.

And 30 per cent said they could not remember most of the advice given in baby books despite reading eight of them on average.

Cosmetics firm Cussons, which commissioned the report, said the results highlight the growing confusion among mums-to-be and mums due to conflicting information.
