A SHEFFIELD MP has expressed concerns over a ‘Shares for Rights’ scheme given the go-ahead by Government.

The scheme, primarily aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses, would allow shares worth £2,000 to £50,000 to be exempt from tax if employees give up some of their rights.

Sheffield Central Paul Blomfield MP fears rights for women workers, particularly, will be threatened by the proposal.
