MP pays tribute to Sheffield kickboxer who died after championship fight

An MP has paid tribute to a Sheffield kickboxer who died after a fight for a national title.

Scott Marsden, aged 14, from Malin Bridge, died after falling ill during a fight in Morley, Leeds, last weekend.

He was a well known kickboxer who had represented England.

Scott trained in the gym run by his father and uncle at Hillsborough Arena, Hillsborough Park.

Posting on Twitter, the MP for Morley and Outwood, Andrea Jenkyns, wrote: "Deeply saddened by the news of Scott Marsden's death. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family."
