A CENTRE that helps South Yorkshire job seekers find employment has been unveiled.

Dan Jarvis, Labour MP for Barnsley Central, opened Barnsley College’s newest site, the Skills Hub, in the town centre.

It is dedicated to supporting job seekers into work by providing free advice and training.

Mr Jarvis said: “The hub offers a fantastic opportunity for people to gain skills that will be invaluable in their search for employment.”

At the hub, people can use IT facilities to search for jobs, complete their CVs and attend work club.

It also advertises jobs and apprenticeship vacancies available.

The aim is to reduce the number of people who are currently unemployed, or facing redundancy.
