Mountain rescue team save climber who fell 13 feet in the Peak District

A climber who fell four metres after getting stuck in the Peak District, had to be saved by mountain rescue teams.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team were alerted to the danger yesterday (Tuesday, August 11) at approximately 3.53pm.

The victim splinted their leg due to the impact of the fall, was given pain relief and placed in a vacuum mattress before they were stretched off to the road.

East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance at the scene, alongside Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.
