Drivers are being told to take care in two spots in Sheffield tonight after crashes.

A smash outside Abbeydale Park sports club has closed the road in both directions, reports suggest.

A Vauxhall Corsa and a Toyota Yaris were involved in the crash, South Yorkshire Police said.

The suggestion is that the crash may have been caused by a tyre blowout.

A witness said: “Unfortunately not I couldn’t get my phone ready. Looked like there were 3 cars and a bus involved directly outside Abbeydale sports club.

“One vehicle had clearly hit the wall on the opposite side of the road. 2 other cars were facing in different directions there were multiple emergency vehicles at the scene.

“The road was closed by the police in both directions. Hope everyone is ok.”

There has also been a crash on Manor Way, at the junction of Manor Lane, which has left debris in the road.

Motorists are being urged to take care in the areas or find alternative routes where possible.
