A MOTORIST has died after his car overturned on the Sheffield Parkway.
The 51-year-old from Sheffield, who has not yet been named, was travelling in a blue Peugeot 306 along the A57 slip road towards the Sheffield Parkway and Prince of Wales Road on Friday night when the car swerved from the left lane into the right hand lane, before mounting the kerb and scraping along a crash barrier.
Police said the Peugeot then weaved across the city-bound carriageway of the Sheffield Parkway, collided with another crash barrier and veered towards the central barrier before overturning and landing on its roof.
The man suffered fatal head injuries and died at the scene.
Witnesses to the collision at 9.35pm should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 1,085 of December 9.
