Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious head injuries after Doncaster road smash

Police and emergency services were called to Ascot Avenue, Cantley earlier tonight following the incident near the Becher’s Brook pub.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are currently on scene following a serious collision in the Cantley area of Doncaster earlier this evening.

“Emergency services were called to Ascot Avenue shortly after 6pm to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

“The motorcyclist has been transported to hospital with serious head injuries.”

The condition of the car driver is not known.

The collision took place near to the entrance with Cantley Park.

The road has been closed for much of the evening with motorists asked to avoid the area.
