Motorcyclist killed in collision with car in Barnsley

The 35-year-old was riding a black Suzuki motorbike along the A635 Doncaster Road, towards Barnsley, when it was involved in a collision with a bronze Vauxhall Astra at the junction with Doncaster Road, Goldthorpe.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision at 9.15pm on Wednesday.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway and witnesses are wanted.
