Claire Goddard, aged 44, and son Seb Walker, aged 18, will be taking on opponents which have yet to be named at the Ultra White Collar Boxing event at The Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Chesterfield on Saturday, April 1.

They have trained hard for eight weeks with boxing coaches - and there is a special reason for them taking part.

Eleven years ago Claire made the life changing decision to have surgery to remove both her breasts after being told she was at a high risk of developing breast cancer due to her family history of the disease. She chose to have the preventative surgery to ensure that she would be there for her children in the future.

Said Claire: "Not being there for my children wasn’t an option so in the end it was the only decision to make.”

The Chesterfield mother and son team hope to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
