Mosborough twins Louie and Alicia Anson win seven gold medals at World martial arts champiionship

Sheffield's ten-year-old Elite Martial Artists twins Louie Anson and Alicia Anson scooped seven gold medals at the WTKA Unified World Championships in Italy.

All together Louie won four golds, two silvers and a bronze while sister Alicia took three golds and a silver.

This followed success at America’s most prestigious competition, the US Open, in the summer for the Mosborough siblings, Alicia winning a gold and a five-foot trophy and Louie finishing fourth .

Last month they competed in the largest UK competition, Unity World Games, and Louie won six golds and Alicia four golds. They both then went into the evening show and both won a Grand Championship each, Alicia in Traditional Kata, Louie in Musical Weapons, receiving a 4ft 6ins trophy each.

The twins, who perform in both Traditional Karate and Musical Martial Arts, started at the age of three and began competing at seven.
