Local charity Families Relief Sheffield has signed an agreement with Morrisons in Ecclesfield, to take the store’s unwanted food, and divert it to the city’s homeless and people in need.

The arrangement was made by the charity’s chief executive, Abdool Qadir Gooljar, and volunteer Bob Addenbrooke, a retired city fire officer from Chapeltown. Bob initially set up the local flood appeal for Cumbria and has been involved with relief work both at home and abroad for a number of years.
