More like Zero Tolerance

I'd like to respond to Zero Option, who offered a feeble, lazy and nonsensical riposte to my letter of support for Spearmint Rhino's licence renewal.

Zero merely read my offering, created some convenient subtext, then chose to respond to that, rather than to the actual content of my letter.

Zero, I won’t repeat myself by going over points I’ve already made, particularly as you’ve done nothing to successfully challenge them.

What I will do, is suggest you read my letter again (properly, this time) and get back to me when you’ve formulated a mature and valid argument.

All I’ll add is this: what the heck are you on about with your ramblings that students will be broke after paying for lap dances?

Is some mystical force compelling them to enter SR? Do those punters not have free will? Ridiculous.

The irony of all this, is that I’m probably a more sincere feminist than you are; I don’t patronise women by assuming they need to be “saved” – from themselves, as well as from the exploitative, predatory male gender.

Instead, I do them the credit of believing that they’re smart enough to choose their own career paths.

What gives you the right to judge those who work at, or visit strip clubs?

Your argument boils down to: “I don’t like it, and I’m going to make sure nobody else can like it, either.” That’s called censorship.

Perhaps you should change your name from Zero Option to Zero Tolerance.
