More vans targeted by thieves in Sheffield

Tools were stolen from a Ford Transit van parked in Mansfield Road, Intake, after a door was peeled back to gain entry.

The break-in happened overnight on Sunday into Monday.

Another van parked in nearby Mansfield Drive was broken into on the same night along with a third in Hollinsend Road, Gleadless.

Thieves have been targeting vans across Sheffield over recent months, prompting South Yorkshire Police to issue a number of warnings.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Please remain vigilant and ensure you lock your vehicles removing any items of value from display."
