More than 80 per cent of staff working at hospitals in Sheffield would be happy recommending the services to a friend or family member as a place to be treated.
More staff than the national average would also recommend the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals trust as a place to work according to the latest NHS staff survey published this week.
The trust forms staff employed at the Northern General, Royal Hallamshire, Jessop maternity wing, Charles Clifford and Weston Park hospitals.
Chief executive, Sir Andrew Cash said: “How our staff feel is incredibly important and so I am pleased that the survey shows further improvements in a number of areas and that the majority of our staff would recommend the Trust as a place to receive care or indeed work.
"The survey also highlights areas where we need to continue to support our staff particularly in the current challenging climate. Helping staff achieve a healthy work/life balance continues to be a priority, as well as doing all we can to ensure our staff are fully supported and encouraged at work.
"We will be looking carefully at this feedback and making even more improvements to benefit everyone who works in our hospitals and community services.”
