More tests on tragic OAP’s body

Detectives investigating the death of a Sheffield pensioner ordered a second post mortem examination after the first proved inconclusive.

They are now waiting for the results of toxicology tests to be returned which could take weeks.

Gladys Allen, aged 93, of Crimicar Lane, Fulwood, was found dead in her home on Wednesday, January 22.

Susan Potts, 63, of Lodge Close, Uxbridge, Middlesex, has been charged with murder.

She was remanded in custody after appearing at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last week and was due at Sheffield Crown Court today.
