Two more cannabis factories in Doncaster have been shut down after police raids.
Officers from the Balby and Hexthorpe Safer Neighbourhood Team dismantled both illicit operations after they received information about drug use in the area.
The biggest was at a house on Warmsworth Road, Balby where officers discovered 12 self-watered plants in the loft of the property with a street value of £12,000. Officers removed the plants and equipment, which were destroyed.
Two men were arrested for the cultivation of cannabis. A 20-year-old has been bailed pending further inquiries and the 35-year-old was released.
Officers also executed a warrant at an address on Riley Avenue, Balby, where a small cannabis set-up was found with six self-watered plants with a value of £6,000.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for cultivation of cannabis and received a caution.
Officers also found drug paraphernalia at an address on Stoneclose Avenue, Hexthorpe, after a warrant was executed, although nobody was found at the property.
PC Tracey Powell-Casey, from the Balby and Hexthorpe SNT, said: “We have been able to recover these drugs and stop them from being used in the area. This has a positive effect on the community and improves the quality of life for the residents living nearby. We will continue to act on any information we receive from the public.”
