Model loco competition

Have your say

A CHANCE to ride behind the Doncaster-built Flying Scotsman is being offered in an unusual competition run by the National Railway Museum in York.

Fans of the iconic loco are being asked to create and send in a model of it using whatever materials they choose.

Models can be a maximum of 120cm long, 60cm wide and 40cm high and can be made out of any material but entrants must visit to download an entry form.

Closing date is April 28 when a shortlist of the best entries will be selected. The winner gets a summer trip in a carriage pulled by the Flying Scotsman and a model train set.
