Christmas Jumper Day on 9 December forms part of Mission Christmas, South Yorkshire’s largest gift appeal which supported over 21,400 children last year.

The campaign ensures that the 1 in 3 children living in poverty will wake up with gifts on Christmas Day morning.

The money raised from Christmas Jumper Day will be used to buy gifts in age groups which are short of donations as the demand for Mission Christmas has surged to a record high, with the charity already receiving applications of support for over 13,000 children.

Allan Ogle, Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids Charity Manager said: “With no Text Santa this year, Christmas Jumper Day is a perfect opportunity for those wanting to take part in festive fundraising activity to support a local cause instead."

He added: “A £50 donation can ensure a local child can celebrate the magic of Christmas. We need your help to make it happen.”

To register for Christmas Jumper Day and to request a fundraising pack, visit www.hallamfm.co.uk/mission or call the Cash for Kids team on 0114 209 1100.
