A South Yorkshire woman reported missing from home has been found safe.
Michelle Webster aged 48, was missing for nine days, leaving her family and friends fearing for her safety.
She was last seen leaving her place of work in Woodseats at 2pm on Monday, December 8 and was due home at 6pm that night but never returned.
Her car was found in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, over the weekend, where the search for Michelle was then concentrated.
She was found in the area by a dog walker yesterday morning and was taken to hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Whittaker, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Michelle has been found and we are able to share this good news with her family, friends and the public who have helped so much in sharing our appeals.
“I am indebted to the support we have had from North Wales Police, who conducted extensive enquiries alongside our officers to bring Michelle home safely for Christmas.
“Thank you to the public in South Yorkshire and Wales who shared our appeal so widely and sent so many messages of support.
“I’d also like to thank the dog walker who found Michelle this morning and alerted the authorities.
“The Mountain Rescue, the Missing People charity and other organisations who have dedicated time and effort to this search have also been integral to this enquiry.”
