Missing Ben Needham from Sheffield features on music video for new charity single
The face of Ben Needham from Sheffield features on a music video for a charity single released today aimed at raising awareness of missing people.
The charity Missing People is releasing the single, I Hope, today, with all profits to be ploughed back into raising awareness of people missing from home.
It is performed by families with missing loved ones and stars from across the decades including Rick Astley, Chesney Hawkes, Nik Kershaw, Carol Decker, Lesley Garrett, Hayley Tamaddon, Jodie Prenger, Debra Stephenson, Kerry Ellis, Balsamo Deighton and G4.
The song was inspired by the words of Kevin Gosden, from Doncaster, whose son Andrew went missing at the age of 14 in 2007.
Andrew was last seen on CCTV footage at Kings Cross Station in London.
The music video features some long-term missing children including Ben Needham, from Sheffield, who was 21 months old when he vanished on the Greek island of Kos in 1991.
He was playing outside a remote farmhouse his grandfather was renovating when he vanished.
Madeleine McCann, who went missing on a family holiday in Portugal in 2007, also features on the video.
‘I Hope’ is available to buy on Itunes, Google Play and Amazon.
An average of 140,000 children go missing in the UK.
