Miserable toll of burglaries

A HANDBAG was stolen from a table in a house on School Lane, Greenhill, Sheffield, after a back door was left open.

On the same night a house on Leighton Road, Gleadless Valley, was broken into after another rear door was left open. The night before a cellar on Myrtle Road, Lowfield, was raided.

Homes on Alexandra Road, Lowfield, and Hazlebarrow Road, Jordanthorpe, were broken into after windows were left open.

A house on Spotswood Close, Gleadless Valley, Sheffield, was broken into when a rear window was smashed.

And computer equipment, an iPod, a coat, a wallet and a Nintendo Wii were stolen when a house was burgled in Chesterfield. The property on St Augustine’s Mount was broken into between midnight and 7am on Tuesday.
