Wednesday added Hector and Onomah to their ranks on August deadline day, borrowing the pair from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

After slow starts to their Owls careers, Hector and Onomah have blossomed in the past two Championship matches, helping the Owls pick up four points against West Bromwich Albion and Bristol City to move into the play-off positions.

The duo are set to remain at Wednesday until the end of the campaign.

Reach, winner of the PFA Fans' Championship Player of the Month for September, told The Star: "They have settled in really well.

"Josh played against Forest which was obviously a disappointing performance and result for us. He had to wait and be patient to get his chance.

"He has come back into the team and I think if he gets a run of games under his belt his performances will get better and better.

"Josh is so confident in possession and can take the ball in any position. He knows what he's doing. He is strong and quick.

"I don't know how often he is going to play because we have got good midfielders in our squad but with his quality he can play in various positions whether it is in the middle or out wide.

"Josh and Michael have been great additions to the squad. They have added strength in depth but they have also added quality to the starting line-up."

Hector, who has claimed two assists in four Owls outings, is currently away on England Under-21 duty. The box-to-box midfielder is pushing to feature in the Young Lions final two European Championship 2019 qualifiers against Andorra and Scotland.

Boothroyd said: "We go into the game with Andorra knowing that we're just one result away from qualification, and it's an excellent position to be in so that's great credit to everyone who has been in the squad since we started the campaign last September

"Although one point from two games doesn't sound very much, I won't be satisfied until it's done and we've put in a performance that warrants the talent that we've got on the pitch."
