Gilbert Court in Sheffield raised a whopping £950 selling handmade cards, bags and bookmarks – all made by tenants in a craft group they started with money from a ‘Creativity Fund’ and with help from the charity Drink Wise Age Well.

Visitors to Gilbert Court paid £1 each, which bought them a tea/coffee and a biscuit and there were a variety of stalls managed by residents selling everything from homemade cakes to vintage pieces.

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s flagship fundraising event and holds the world record for Largest Simultaneous Coffee Party.
