Seven men have appeared before magistrates in Doncaster charged with public disorder following an incident on a train back from a cancelled football game at Millwall in London in December.

The men were being escorted home by British Transport Police officers when alleged abusive language and disorderly behaviour broke out.

Tony Howley, 27, of Adwick Court, Mexborough; Daniel Robert Bramley, 26, of Redcliffe Close, Redbrook, Barnsley; Jamie Littlewood, 27, of Raley Street, Kingstone, Barnsley; Paul Steven Chance, 25, of Huddersfield Road, Barnsley; Terrence Wayne Howley, 36, of Carr Head Lane, Bolton-on-Dearne, Rotherham; Shane Jess Hart, 36 of Deigntonby Street, Thurnscoe and Paul Richard Smith, 26, of Nelson Avenue, Monk Bretton, Barnsley, have all been bailed until April.
