Men hunted after house ransacked in Rotherham

CCTV images have been released of two men police want to trace over a burglary in Rotherham.

Two men forced their way into a house in West Bawtry Road, Broom, and stole jewellery of sentimental value.

South Yorkshire Police said the burglars ‘ransacked’ the property during the raid on Tuesday, December 8.

They left the area in a dark Audi saloon.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: The house was ransacked and a large quantity of sentimental jewellery taken, causing a significant amount of distress for the victims.

“It is understood that the suspects left the scene in a dark-coloured Audi saloon.

“Officers believe the men pictured could hold vital information and would urge anyone that recognises them to get in touch.

“They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the Audi in the Broom area.”
