Two men have been charged over the discovery of drugs and cash in a car in Barnsley.

Police officers stopped the Volkswagen Golf in Oldroyd Avenue, Grimethorpe, on Monday morning and found £500 in cash along with Class A and B drugs.

Ricky Murphy, aged 33, of Oldroyd Avenue, Grimethorpe, and Neil Whittaker, 37, of Sycamore Avenue, Grimethorpe, have both been charged with possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

CRIME: Man, woman and child led to safety after arson attack in Sheffield
Whittaker is also charged with driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and without insurance.

INVESTIGATION: Pedestrian remains in serious condition after collision in Sheffield
They are due to appear at Barnsley Magistrates' Court this morning.
